Platforms Lead - Remote (US Based ONLY) - Mon-Fri 8am -5pm PST

Reports to: VP Technical Technical Operations

Location: Roseville HABC or Remote

Days/Hours of Work: Mon- Fri 8-5 pm PT; nights and weekends as needed

JOB SUMMARY:

The Platforms Lead will lead a matrixed team across Quest’s Global Operations, working with vendors and company clients as needed. The ideal candidate will over see daily operations, achieve and define daily metrics targets, participate in various meetings as needed in support of company business and leading the execution of company duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop strong internal relationships across a matrixed team of Account Executives, Technical Architects, Technical resources for the successful execution of program objectives.
  • Track deadlines and draft/create deliverables. Submit deliverables on schedule (Project Plans, Technical Documents, Monthly Program Reviews, etc.)
  • Manages ticketing queue, monitors incidents, urgency levels and reviews aging tickets.
  • Assure internal company technology meets company uptime, compliance and user experience objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current Microsoft, Linux, middle ware and hardware technologies.
  • Identification of Cyber risks and threats to systems and employees.
  • Oversee server and application issues across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS related compute.
  • Interpreting and maintaining system documentation and department processes.
  • Undergo root cause analysis of reported issues, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Experience with monitoring systems and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Experience with scripting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Managed a domain environment with 50 servers or more.
  • 10+ years of success in leading consultative/complex technical deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects)
  • 5 years of experience leading technical root cause any troubleshooting performance problems, and performing application releases.
  • 5 years’ Experience in technology operations daily duties.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to author, present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions and recommend solutions.
  • Experience in working in a 24x7 operations model.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, excellent organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Motivated and strong work ethic.

Working Conditions / Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Required to work in an office environment with moderate noise and moderate temperatures.
  • Incumbent may be asked to perform other duties as required.
  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • May lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • May require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary
  • May be required to work off-hours, weekend & holidays as needed.
  • Position may require Travel to customer and Quest locations.

Wages and Benefits:

  • $5800 to $7000 per pay period DOE. Quest recognizes 24 pay periods per calendar year.
